The STRIKE IT initiative calls for proposals aimed at enhancing cybersecurity for the Internet of Things (IoT) within defence and dual-use contexts. Funding is available for innovative projects with a maximum funding of €150,000 per project.

The 2026 Call for Proposals under the Cyber Defense Factory (CDF) programme invites innovative projects tackling cybersecurity issues in IoT. Two operational factories will support projects: CDF6000 in Charleroi, focusing on land and air domains, and CDF8000 in Bruges, which centres on maritime and naval domains.

Key facts include:

  • Up to €150,000 funding per project
  • Project duration is limited to a maximum of 6 months, with completion required by December 2026
  • Technology Readiness Level (TRL): Output must reach TRL 7
  • Dual-use innovation required
  • Triple-helix partnerships are preferred but at least one private company must be present in a consortium.

Registration is required by 1 February 2026 at the latest.

UrbanAIR - Digital Twin for Urban Climate Action

Funded under Horizon Europe (HORIZON-INFRA-2024-TECH-01-03) and running from 2025 to 2028, UrbanAIR develops advanced digital twins that simulate the interactions between urban climate, human behaviour, and policy choices. These models enable cities to explore what-if scenarios, such as new green infrastructure, mobility measures or building designs, and assess their impacts on health, safety and social equity.
