RI Horizon 2020

This symposium is part of the 2018 Thinkers' programme on ‘Flanders, Belgium and CERN’ led by Walter Van Doninck (former Vice President of the CERN Council and Thinker-in-Residence).

CERN is a role model for international scientific research in Europe and beyond. This symposium will offer both a general introduction to CERN as well as a Belgian and Flemish perspective. What is the legacy of CERN for mankind? What is its scientific and industrial return for Belgium? What discoveries and technological improvements await in the future? National and international scientists reflect during the symposium resulting from the KVAB Thinkers' Programme "Flanders, Belgium and CERN" with Walter Van Doninck.

The programme, recordings and presentations can be found here.

EHRI-IP - European Holocaust Research Infrastructure

The European Holocaust Research Infrastructure Implementation Phase (EHRI-IP) project was funded under Horizon Europe call topic HORIZON-INFRA-2023-DEV-01-02. The project duration was two years and came to an end in February 2026. The main objective of the EHRI-IP project was to undertake all necessary legal, financial and strategic work to have a permanent organisation or ERIC (European Research Infrastructure Consortium) fully operational by the end of the implementation phase. The project consortium consisted of 14 partners from 13 countries. Read more about the project and the contribution of Flemish partner Kazerne Dossin in this testimonial.
