The event 'MSCA at 30: Research Mobility & Bridging Gaps Across Europe' is organised by the Polish Academy of Sciences (PolSCA PAS Office in Brussels and Excellence in Science Department of the PAS in Warsaw – NAWA-MSCA Contact Point for Central Poland) and the Marie Curie Alumni Association (MCAA) Chapters Benelux, Hungary and Poland. Local partners of the event in Brussels include the liaison offices: KOWI (Germany), Neth-ER (Netherlands) and NRDIO (Hungary).

This event aims to bring together policy, practice and peer exchange on how the MSCA programme can better support research careers, mobility and international collaboration across Europe. It targets researchers at all career stages, research managers, institutional representatives and policy stakeholders involved in research policy, programme implementation or MSCA participation.

The event is particularly relevant for those shaping the current and future direction of MSCA, as well as for organisations and individuals interested in applying, hosting fellows or building consortia. By combining high-level policy perspectives with practical, experience-based discussions and structured networking, it enables direct engagement with peers, decision-makers and potential partners. The focus is on moving beyond success stories to address concrete challenges such as mobility, institutional barriers, return pathways and capacity building, with the aim of strengthening the European Research Area.

Registration is required by 11 May via the registration form. All information related to the event, including the full agenda, is available in the announcement on the PolSCA website.

ANERIS - Next generation tools for sensing and monitoring marine-life

Funded under Horizon Europe (HORIZON-INFRA-2022-TECH-01) and running from 2023 to 2026, the ANERIS project aims to tackle the rapid loss of ocean biodiversity. The project’s main objective is to develop, test and implement the next generation of scientific instrumentation tools and methods for sensing and monitoring marine-life. Another key concept of the project is the introduction of the concept of Operational Marine Biology (OMB) as a biodiversity information system. The project consortium consists of 25 partners from 13 countries. Read more about the project and the contribution of Flemish partner VLIZ in this testimonial.
