ProgrammesThis online matchmaking event is designed for potential European Defence Fund applicants who want to find partners and prepare for the 2026 EDF calls. It includes a morning webinar on do’s and don’ts in EDF 2026, followed by bilateral matchmaking meetings. Participants can also use the event to speak with National Focal Points about project scope, funding rates, partner suitability and costs.
Participants can create a new profile or reuse one from earlier editions. After registration, they get access to a catalogue of potential partners and can send and receive meeting requests for discussions taking place during the event.
The morning webinar is scheduled as a preparatory session on practical points for EDF 2026 proposals. The matchmaking sessions are intended to help potential applicants build consortia and discuss proposal-related questions with relevant contacts, including NFPs.

The Horizon2020 twinning project ScreenME has as its objective to enhance excellence in screen media entrepreneurship at Tallinn University (TLU). To do so, ScreenME has established a network of universities across Europe that aim to improve research into and teaching of entrepreneurship for the screen media industry. ScreenME will develop a teaching course and will kick off research initiatives and projects on entrepreneurial activities in media organisations. The research group on ‘Studies in Media, Innovation and Technology (SMIT)’ of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) is partner in the network and is involved in two cross-cutting activities of the project: support for early stage researchers and developing stakeholder involvement.
