Programmes Enhancing EU R&IFor the call Enhancing the European R&I system (HORIZON-WIDERA-2024-ERA-01) (deadline 12 March 2024) with the following 9 call topics a total number of 93 proposals were submitted.

HORIZON-WIDERA-2024-ERA-01-07 Capacity building on Intellectual Property (IP) management to support open science: 8 proposal
HORIZON-WIDERA-2024-ERA-01-08 Global cooperation in not-for-profit open access publishing: 4 proposals
HORIZON-WIDERA-2024-ERA-01-09 Support to the development and implementation of policies and practices for reproducibility of scientific results: 4 proposals
HORIZON-WIDERA-2024-ERA-01-10 Policy coordination to support all aspects of inclusive Gender Equality Plans and policies in the ERA: 1 proposals
HORIZON-WIDERA-2024-ERA-01-11 Support to the implementation of inclusive gender equality plans: 22 proposals
HORIZON-WIDERA-2024-ERA-01-12 Next generation AI and Human Behaviour: promoting an ethical approach: 18 proposals

Avia-GIS is a Belgian innovative SME established in 2001. They have built research and public authority trust over the past 19 years and developed a unique, disruptive software suite - VECMAP® - that supports society to overcome one of its important health threats, the spreading of Pests of Public Health importance.
With the help of a Horizon 2020 SME Instrument Phase 2 project, they will be able to add Integrated Pest Management functionalities and go to the market. With the grant, that was an essential component of their second investment round, Avia-GIS aims at raising its revenue from the current 2 M€ to 14.2 M€ in 2024, and increase the headcount from 15 to 58.
