The European Cybersecurity Competence Centre (ECCC) has launched a general call for expression of interest for experts open on the Funding and Tenders portal.
Details on the role of experts, the fees paid for the services, the model contract, other useful information, including the link to register as expert can also be found on the Funding & Tenders Portal.
For the Digital Europe and Horizon Work Programmes by the end of 2024, no less than 300 M Euro will be allocated to cybersecurity related calls. Identifying the best proposals to be funded is a great responsibility and it cannot be done without the involvement of European experts knowledgeable in different cybersecurity related fields.
While there is already a reasonable number of experts supporting CNECT/ECCC in this endeavor, given the numerous upcoming calls for proposals, new experts are invited to to join the pool.
More information on the tasks of experts can also be found in our info sheet on expert evaluators.
In case of questions of if you are interested to become an expert, please contact CNECT-ECCC-EVALUATIONS@ec.europa.eu.

The RUSTICA project obtained funding under Horizon 2020, more in particular under the topic ‘Closing nutrient cycles’. RUSTICA focuses on demonstration and implementation of circular bio-based nutrient valorisation chains, focusing on waste from the fruit and vegetable agro-food system. The project kicked off in 2021 and will run until 2024. It will use a strong multi-actor approach to co-create both socio-economic and technological knowledge in four case study regions in Europe and one in Colombia. The Flanders-based company DRANCO is one of the project partners and acts as technical project manager for the entire project. DRANCO participates in the project to develop its own technologies, to network and to help make the transition to a more circular based economy.
