ProgrammesOn 5 September, a Call for Pilot Cities will be launched in the framework of the Cities Mission. The aim of the call is to select cities for a 2-year programme to test and implement innovative approaches to rapid decarbonisation. The selection of pilots will cover all thematic areas contributing to climate neutrality to ensure systemic transformation, including mobility, energy systems and the built environment, material and resource flows, natural areas and accessible public spaces. The Call deadline is 4 November 2022. Selected pilot cities will be announced in February 2023.
Draft Call Guidelines and a Programme Guidebook are now available to help cities prepare their application before the opening of the Call. The final Guidelines will be published when the Call opens.
Cities interested in this Call are encouraged to join the series of information sessions organised by NetZeroCities early September:
