ProgrammesEIT Health, a Knowledge and Innovation Community of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), is inviting consortia of technology transfer offices and entrepreneurship support providers to deliver activities under the "Beyond the Lab: From Research to Venture" programme in 2027 and 2028.

The selected consortium will deliver live masterclasses, structured mentoring and a final Pitch Day for two cohorts, while EIT Health will oversee the programme design and management.
Applicants must form a consortium of two technology transfer offices representing higher education institutions or research organisations and one entrepreneurship support provider. The consortium should combine expertise in intellectual property and technology transfer with practical experience in venture building, market validation, business model development and investment readiness.
Funding of up to €77,000 is available in 2027 and 2028. Application deadline is 2 November 2026. You can find all the details here. An online Q&A session will take place on 15 October 2026 at 10:00 CET. Register here.

The RUSTICA project obtained funding under Horizon 2020, more in particular under the topic ‘Closing nutrient cycles’. RUSTICA focuses on demonstration and implementation of circular bio-based nutrient valorisation chains, focusing on waste from the fruit and vegetable agro-food system. The project kicked off in 2021 and will run until 2024. It will use a strong multi-actor approach to co-create both socio-economic and technological knowledge in four case study regions in Europe and one in Colombia. The Flanders-based company DRANCO is one of the project partners and acts as technical project manager for the entire project. DRANCO participates in the project to develop its own technologies, to network and to help make the transition to a more circular based economy.
