This business mission is organised by the EU-Japan Centre for Industrial Cooperation and targets European companies and clusters active across the space value chain. It is designed to help participants present their solutions at the Space Business Expo (SPEXA), meet potential Japanese partners and customers, and learn more about the Japanese space market.

The mission focuses on the SPEXA exhibition cohort of the broader Space Business Mission to Japan. For this cohort, participants are expected to take part in SPEXA at Tokyo Big Sight and may also join a side event in Tokyo, listed as site visit, pitching and networking activities, subject to confirmation. The organisers indicate that the mission can accommodate a limited number of participants and that applicants should match the exhibition’s target sectors.

The SPEXA-focused areas include satellite development and manufacturing, launch systems and propulsion, spacecraft components, materials and subsystems, ground systems and space infrastructure, satellite data and space applications, commercial space services, and space-related investment and business developments. Two online training modules are also planned before travel, currently scheduled for the mornings of 5 and 6 April 2027, with further agenda details to be shared later.

The call targets individuals working for companies, including SMEs and larger firms, as well as clusters from the European Union or countries associated with the Single Market Programme, SME Pillar, provided they are active in relevant space-related fields. The application deadline is 4 December 2026. More information and the application form are available at https://www.eu-japan.eu/events/space-mission

EHRI-IP - European Holocaust Research Infrastructure

The European Holocaust Research Infrastructure Implementation Phase (EHRI-IP) project was funded under Horizon Europe call topic HORIZON-INFRA-2023-DEV-01-02. The project duration was two years and came to an end in February 2026. The main objective of the EHRI-IP project was to undertake all necessary legal, financial and strategic work to have a permanent organisation or ERIC (European Research Infrastructure Consortium) fully operational by the end of the implementation phase. The project consortium consisted of 14 partners from 13 countries. Read more about the project and the contribution of Flemish partner Kazerne Dossin in this testimonial.
