ProgrammesOrganised by the Stockholm International Water Institute (SIWI), World Water Week 2026 centres on the theme “Water for People and Progress”. The programme is set to look at progress on water for people within the Sustainable Development Goals and the transition towards future global development frameworks. Discussions are expected to cover water for people, prosperity, planet and cooperation, as well as multilateral processes and investment for water.
World Water Week also serves as a platform for dialogue ahead of the 2026 UN Water Conference. It aims to connect with other international processes related to climate, biodiversity, desertification, oceans and sustainable development.
