Agro-Food, Environment Enhancing EU R&I Green Deal

The European Green Deal support office organises a webinar on 10 March 2026 that will explore how to scale citizen science initiatives for climate and environmental impact. Participants will discuss barriers and pathways to connect citizen science with policy processes, drawing on experiences from EU-funded projects.

It seeks to advance discussions on scaling citizen science from experimental stages to impactful deployment. It will feature insights from EU-funded projects like AURORA and PS Lifestyle, focusing on how these initiatives can overcome barriers and align with European and global policy frameworks.

Registration is open until 8 March 2026, with a connection link provided to participants on 9 March 2026. You can find the registration form here

Background: The European Commission launched a special 1 billion EUR Green Deal Call in september 2020 to fund R&I projects tackling the climate crisis and supporting a sustainable, carbon-neutral Europe by 2050. Many of these calls were focused on reaching out to larger audiences (e.g. through citizen science or co-creation).
