The European Commission European Research Executive Agency (EREA) will host a web-based session to offer comprehensive information about: The main features and impact of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Staff Exchanges (SE) Action and how to apply to the call for proposals.

The MSCA SE action funds short-term international and inter-sectoral exchanges of staff members involved in research and innovation activities of participating organisations. The aim is to develop sustainable collaborative projects between different organisations from the academic and non-academic sectors (in particular SMEs), based in Europe and beyond. Exchanged staff (researchers as well as administrative, managerial and technical staff supporting research and innovation activities under the MSCA SE action) benefit from new knowledge, skills and career development perspectives, while participating organisations increase their research and innovation capacities (Horizon Europe MSCA 2023-2024 Work Programme).

The 2023 call for proposals for MSCA SE opened on 5 October 2023 and closes on 28 February 2024 17:00 Brussels time (Funding and tenders portal).

The meeting will be web streamed. Agenda: Participants are requested to fill in this survey before the info session to tailor it to the participants needs. Questions can be asked live via Slido! (Event code #SE2023). All information related to the event can be found in the announcement on the EREA website.

ROOT - Rolling Out OSNMA for the secure synchronization of Telecom networks

The ROOT project obtained funding under Horizon 2020 topic ‘EGNSS applications fostering societal resilience and protecting the environment’. The project, which ran from November 2020 to July 2022,  aimed to demonstrate the benefit of Galileo OSNMA signal to increase the robustness of critical telecom infrastructures.

The Flanders-based company Septentrio contributed substantially to completing this objective together with the other ROOT partners. The results of the project partially close a gap in the security of telecommunication networks dependent on satellite-derived time, with indirect benefits in curbing illegal attempts to disrupt network services.
