Horizon Europe

The informal network of the Italian research and innovation community in Brussels (GIURI) in collaboration with Intesa Sanpaolo, the Autonomous Province of Bolzano and the Auronomous Province of Trento organise their annual event on the evaluation of Horizon Europe up till now, the years to come (2025-2027) and provides an outlook to the next EU framework programme for research and innovation. The key note speaker is Anna Panagopoulou, Director ‘ERA & Innovation’ at DG Research & Innovation of the European Commission and her speech will be followed by a roundtable debate with Italian research and innovation representatives. Questions that will be tackled:

How is the EU investing in research and innovation in the current 2021-27 programming cycle? Is the Framework Programme still the main instrument or is it becoming part of a broader public investment strategy? How are the new instruments launched or renewed in Horizon Europe (missions, partnerships, EIC) performing? Are the synergies between the Horizon programme and cohesion policy working? What lessons and perspectives can we draw from the analysis of the Italian participation in Horizon Europe?

Target audience:  policy-makers, experts, researchers, innovators and research and innovation stakeholders.

All information, including the registration form and schedule, is available in the event announcement on the GUIRI website. The registration deadline is today.

EURHISFIRM - Long-term data for Europe

EURHISFIRM designs a world-class research infrastructure (RI) to connect, collect, collate, align, and share detailed, reliable, and standardized long-term financial, governance, and geographical data on European companies. EURHISFIRM enables researchers, policymakers, and other stakeholders to develop and evaluate effective strategies to promote investment, economic growth and job creation. The RI provides the tools for long-term analysis highlighting the dynamics of the past and the way those dynamics structure our present and future.

The EURHISFIRM European project received € 3.4 million in financing from the European Commission through the H2020-INFRADEV-2017-1 research infrastructures call. The project started with a consortium of eleven research organisations (including University of Antwerp) from seven European countries.
