The European Innovation Council (EIC) organises the online-only 2026 Pathfinder Challenges Info Day. It consists of a plenary session explaining the specific characteristics of EIC Pathfinder Challenge calls, and parallel sessions led by the EIC Programme Managers Paolo BondavalliUschi Symmons and Hedi Karray in which they will present their Challenges.

Attendees have the possibility to briefly (max 2 minutes) present themselves and describe their competences relevant to their Challenge of interest and to explore the possibility of a joint application with other attendees of the Info Day. In order to do so, please register here by 16 March 2026, and indicate that you want to participate in this exercise. You will be then contacted directly before the event. You also will be asked to send your slides with your contact details to EISMEA-01@ec.europa.eu by 18 March 2026.

MareGraph - Towards an Interoperable Marine Knowledge Graph

The MareGraph project, ‘Towards an Interoperable Marine Knowledge Graph’, obtained funding under the Digital Europe topic ‘OPEN-AI – Public Sector Open Data for AI and Open Data Platform’. The project will increase the semantic, technical, and legal interoperability of three selected high-valued datasets (HVDs) all maintained by the Flanders Marine Institute (VLIZ), which is one of the four partners of the project. This will allow the onboarding of essential marine datasets in the Common European Data Spaces. As such MareGraph will provide a structural component in the digital transition of the marine landscape. The numerous impacts of the project will benefit our seas globally in old and new ways to come.
