Making Innovation Count is the third annual symposium of the Horizon Europe-funded Engage2innovate (E2i) project. This one-day event will bring together security researchers, practitioners, policymakers and innovators from across Europe to address some of the most challenging and consequential questions facing European security R&I

  • Are we funding impactful security innovation — or just producing reports?
  • What would make security innovation genuinely usable for real end-users in real operational contexts?
  • How can insights from past R&I project investments better inform the security innovation agenda of tomorrow?
  • What would it take to build a genuinely learning European Security R&I ecosystem? One that properly benefits from the knowledge good R&I generates — rather than simply shelving it?

INSPIRE - Centre of Excellence on inclusive gender equality in R&I

Funded by Horizon Europe, under call topic HORIZON-WIDERA-2021-ERA-01-80, INSPIRE is Europe's Centre of Excellence on inclusive gender equality in research and innovation. It relies on four Knowledge and Support Hubs to create knowledge in the areas of sustaining change, widening participation, intersectionality and innovation. Moreover, it supports stakeholders in their journey to become more inclusive through 12 Communities of Practice. In this way, INSPIRE aims to develop both cutting-edge knowledge and innovative strategies for gender equality in the European Research Area. INSPIRE brings together 14 partners. The Belgian partner in this project is UHasselt.
