Illicit drugs and drug trafficking remain among the most complex and persistent security challenges facing the European Union. They intersect public health, organised crime, border security and social cohesion, while continuously evolving through new substances, routes, technologies and criminal methods.

This two-day CERIS workshop aims to bring together policymakers, practitioners, researchers, EU agencies, civil society and industry to examine how EU-funded security research and innovation can support a more effective and integrated response to drugs related threats.

Day 1 will focus on understanding the threat landscape and research foundations, day 2 will address tools, forensics and operational uptake.

A detailed agenda can be found here, registrations are open via this link.

EHRI-IP - European Holocaust Research Infrastructure

The European Holocaust Research Infrastructure Implementation Phase (EHRI-IP) project was funded under Horizon Europe call topic HORIZON-INFRA-2023-DEV-01-02. The project duration was two years and came to an end in February 2026. The main objective of the EHRI-IP project was to undertake all necessary legal, financial and strategic work to have a permanent organisation or ERIC (European Research Infrastructure Consortium) fully operational by the end of the implementation phase. The project consortium consisted of 14 partners from 13 countries. Read more about the project and the contribution of Flemish partner Kazerne Dossin in this testimonial.
