Update on the technical issues with submission of lump sum proposals

Technical problems affected the submission for Cluster 2 and Cluster 6 lump sum proposals in recently closed topics. The main problems were:

  • Slow performance
  • Different person-month figures (in some proposals, the figures entered in the Part A online forms did not match those in the submitted PDF)
  • Incorrect indirect costs (some proposals displayed 0% indirect costs instead of 25%)
  • Missing country correction coefficients

The technical problems identified will not put the affected proposals at a disadvantage. Where necessary, the Commission will correct the budget data and add the missing figures.

The central services will upgrade the system before reintroducing the lump sum budget section in the Part A online forms.

Until then, calls that have not yet opened are expected to use the previous approach, thus applicants will be expected to provide again their detailed lump sum budget in an Excel table.
