ADVANCE NOTICE OF THE REQUEST FOR INFORMATION TO MANUFACTURERS AND FACTORIES FOR PARTICIPATION IN THE NATO ENGINE PILOT -> see attached document
NSPA is seeking responses from capable vendors for the NATO Engine pilot, which is designed to support an interoperable and secure digital registry for business-to-business information exchanges. According to the request for information, responses will be used to assess manufacturers and factories and to inform possible next steps.
The envisaged areas of interest include, but not limited to:
• Automotive;
• Electronic manufacturing services;
• Aerospace;
• Metalworking;
• Additive manufacturing/3D printing;
• Digital engineering;
• Mechanical engineering;
• Others.
The initial version of the platform is expected to go online in September 2026 and is planned to build on NSPA’s existing RAPiD-e repository.
The notice states that information submitted in response to the request will not automatically be included in the NATO Engine pilot platform. Responders are expected to have the opportunity to decide what level of information is made accessible on the platform, and information may be anonymised if requested by the relevant nation where the entity is domiciled.
NSPA asks interested vendors to complete the questionnaire by 27 August 2026 through https://www.nspa.nato.int/newsroom/events/request-for-information-for-nato-engine.
The notice also states that this is not a request for proposals, does not commit NSPA to issue a solicitation or award a contract, and that responses sent by email will not be considered.

If you’ve never heard of Limecraft, you’re clearly not working in the media sector. Their SaaS platform provides integrated workflows for media management, scripted and unscripted TV, and subtitling and localisation. It is used by leading broadcasting companies – such as BBC, VRT, NPO… – and production firms of which De Mensen or Hotel Hungaria might ring a bell (at least if you are Belgian).
