Policy Brief: Cyber Resilience Act

Published on | 1 month ago

Programmes Digital Europe Cybersecurity

The Cyber Resilience Act is an EU regulation designed to improve the cybersecurity of products
with digital elements throughout their lifecycle. It mandates that manufacturers integrate cybersecurity
measures during the design phase and ensure ongoing security through regular updates and vulnerability
management. The Act aims to protect users from cybersecurity threats, reduce vulnerabilities in digital products, and increase trust in the digital ecosystem across the EU.

Knowledge of underlying EU policies and legislations is a key element in Digital Europe proposals as they play an important role in the “relevance” evaluation criterion. This Policy Briefing is one of several briefings prepared by DEP4ALL, the NCP Network for the Digital Europe programme, to support applicants with summaries of relevant EU initiatives.
