ProgrammesThis business mission is designed for EU companies and clusters active in defence and dual-use technologies that are looking at opportunities in Japan. Selected participants can exhibit at the EU-Japan Centre booth during DSEI Japan 2027 and join networking and pitching activities with Japanese government and industry representatives.
The EU-Japan Centre for Industrial Cooperation is organising a business mission linked to DSEI Japan 2027, described as Japan’s only large-scale integrated defence trade fair. The programme aims to help a limited group of European defence-related companies and clusters present their technologies, meet potential Japanese partners and gain insight into the Japanese market.
The mission is open to companies, including SMEs and large companies, and clusters from the European Union or countries associated with the Single Market Programme, SME Pillar. Topics listed include cybersecurity, drones, radar, satellite communications, autonomous systems, defence logistics, advanced materials, underwater systems and other military or dual-use technologies. The programme is expected to include a one-day briefing and pitching/networking session ahead of three exhibition days, with pre-mission online training also planned.
Applications are open until 18 December 2026. Up to 16 companies may be selected. More information and the application form are available at https://www.eu-japan.eu/events/defence-mission.
