This workshop looks at how citizen-generated data on soil health can support policy and decision-making. It focuses on insights from the ECHO project, including potential end users of this data, its practical use, and the costs and value linked to collecting it. The discussion is set in the current EU soil policy context and also invites contributions from other Mission Soil projects.

The workshop is scheduled for the day before the start of European Mission Soil Week 2026 and centres on the role of citizen science in soil health beyond awareness and engagement. It is designed to look at how citizen-generated data can inform evidence-based policy, including who may use the data, how useful it is for decision-making, and what resources are needed to collect it.

This workshop is aimed at people attending the Soil Week and especially those involved in Mission projects. Registration is open here.

INSPIRE - Centre of Excellence on inclusive gender equality in R&I

Funded by Horizon Europe, under call topic HORIZON-WIDERA-2021-ERA-01-80, INSPIRE is Europe's Centre of Excellence on inclusive gender equality in research and innovation. It relies on four Knowledge and Support Hubs to create knowledge in the areas of sustaining change, widening participation, intersectionality and innovation. Moreover, it supports stakeholders in their journey to become more inclusive through 12 Communities of Practice. In this way, INSPIRE aims to develop both cutting-edge knowledge and innovative strategies for gender equality in the European Research Area. INSPIRE brings together 14 partners. The Belgian partner in this project is UHasselt.
