ProgrammesThe ERA4Health partnership hosts a webinar on AI in Healthcare: Trust and Evidence.
In this webinar, Prof. Karim Lekadir, an ICREA Research Professor and internationally recognised expert in artificial intelligence (AI) for healthcare, will introduce the FUTURE-AI framework for healthcare, drawing on his recent work with the FUTURE-AI consortium. This framework is a consensus-based guideline developed by 117 expertrs from 50 countries, built around six core principles - fairness, universality, traceability, usability, robustness, and explainability - and translated into 30 best practices of trustworthy healthcare AI.
Prof. Lekadir will explore why, despite major advances in AI research, adoption in routine clinical practice remains limited, and how this gap can be addressed through evidence, validation, and responsible implementation.
