ProgrammesThe event is organised by Science Business in partnership with the Polish National Centre for Research and Development (NCBR) and will take the form of a roundtable discussion.
This roundtable will bring together 30 key regional and European stakeholders from research, industry, regional authorities, national governments and EU institutions to draw lessons from what the Widening and Teaming instruments have delivered to date and discuss the prospects for leveraging and boosting excellence in Central and Eastern Europe. The event will highlight regional success stories and challenge the perception that countries in Central and Eastern Europe may have little to contribute to European R&I. Recommendations emerging from the discussion will be captured and disseminated to the wider research and innovation community.
By invitation only for in-person attendance. Online participation is open to anyone interested and with the opportunity to ask questions in the chat.
More details and the registration form are available in the announcement on the Science Business website.

The Department of Economy, Science and Innovation of the Flemish government coordinates the Horizon 2020 Coordination and Support Action SAPHIRe, which started on 1 December 2018. The aim of the project is to secure the adoption of personalised medicine in all European regions, including sparsely populated and remote regions and regions with different innovation capacities.
The activities of SAPHIRe are complementary to the smart specialisation partnership on personalised medicine – S3P4PM, which is also coordinated by the Department of Economy, Science and Innovation.
