The SESAR institutional partnership and the University of Seville (Faculty of Engineering) are organising SESAR's annual Innovation Days (SIDs) in Seville, 27-30 November 2023. Speakers include academics and researchers, European Commission officials, large enterprise representatives, ...

It predominantly focusses on sharing progress and disseminating exploratory research results in the air traffic management (ATM) field, in combination with showcasing industrial research and demonstrations

In addition to various technical paper sessions, the plenary sessions will focus on:

  • Higher airspace operations
  • AI in ATM
  • Research priorities in the European ATM master plan: 2024 update
  • SESAR knowledge transfer network: upcoming engagement opportunities

ERC grants for UGent professor Lieven Eeckhout

Professor Lieven Eeckhout’s main research interests include computer architecture and the hardware/software interface with a specific emphasis on performance evaluation and modeling, and dynamic resource management.

Professor Eeckhout is the recipient of a European Research Council (ERC) Starting grant, Advanced grant and three Proof of Concept grants. Two of his former PhD students founded in 2013 CoScale, a spin-off in data center monitoring, which was acquired by New Relic.
