ProgrammesTwo EU-funded projects – MSCA GLOPOL and the Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine – in collaboration with the European Commission Directorate-General for Education, Youth, Sport and Culture (DG EAC), are organising an online matchmaking event related to the MSCA Staff Exchange 2026 call.
MSCA Staff Exchanges promote innovative international, inter-sectoral and interdisciplinary collaboration in research and innovation by enabling staff exchanges and the sharing of knowledge across all stages of the innovation chain. The objective is to support joint research and innovation projects through staff exchanges within partnerships involving universities, research infrastructures, businesses, and other socio-economic actors in Europe and beyond. These collaborations aim to build interdisciplinary, inter-sectoral (academic and non-academic) and international (EU Member States/Associated Countries and non-associated third countries) partnerships, while enabling participating staff (researchers at any career stage, as well as administrative, managerial, and technical personnel supporting the project’s R&I activities) to acquire new skills and competences.
The primary objective of this event is to facilitate the integration of Ukrainian research institutions into MSCA Staff Exchange consortia that are currently being formed or are still open to new partners. Therefore this webinar is relevant for research institutions that are planning to apply to the MSCA Staff Exchange 2026 call, or are already part of consortia preparing an application, and may be interested in involving Ukrainian research institutions as partners.
Participating institutions will be invited to prepare a brief 1–2 slide presentation outlining their project idea and the type of expertise sought, in order to initiate targeted discussions with Ukrainian partners who can respond with relevant capacities and interest. The deadline to submit the presentations is 13 February 2026.
Registration for this webinar is required. All practical details including the agenda and registration information is available in the announcement on the MSCA GLOPOL website.
We offer news and event updates, covering all domains and topics of Horizon Europe, Digital Europe & EDF (and occasionally, for ongoing projects, Horizon 2020).

The YoPA project, ‘a youth-centred preventive action approach towards co-created implementation of socially and physically activating environmental interventions’ obtained funding from Horizon Europe’s Health Cluster. The project addresses the multifaceted challenges of physical inactivity and health inequalities through a unique participatory approach. The project places teenagers between 12 and 18 years old in vulnerable situations at the forefront of the intervention process. The Institute of Tropical Medicine is a partner in the project and will conduct a Realist Evaluation to understand how youth co-creation contributes to improved adolescent health and well-being in four cities in Denmark, Netherlands, Nigeria and South Africa. By integrating its results and sharing its approach in an open access Toolbox, ITM aims to contribute to fostering sustainable, youth-led solutions for healthier urban environments.
