The event follows the publication of the revised MSCA Green Charter, which includes updated guidance and practical recommendations to address the environmental footprint of research practices – including in digital settings, and will focus on making AI more sustainable. The development and adoption of green digital infrastructure, AI tools and AI practices are essential to

  • ensure that the increased uptake of AI remains sustainable
  • allow Europe to maintain its competitiveness while also realising its sustainability goals.

Speakers will present the knowledge and tools developed in EU-funded projects, which will serve as a basis for discussion and exchange among the panelists and with the audience.

Deadline to register: 3 December 2025, 12.00 CET. All information related to this event including the registration form can be found in the announcement on the MSCA website.

UrbanAIR - Digital Twin for Urban Climate Action

Funded under Horizon Europe (HORIZON-INFRA-2024-TECH-01-03) and running from 2025 to 2028, UrbanAIR develops advanced digital twins that simulate the interactions between urban climate, human behaviour, and policy choices. These models enable cities to explore what-if scenarios, such as new green infrastructure, mobility measures or building designs, and assess their impacts on health, safety and social equity. The project consortium consists of 18 partners from 11 countries. Read more about the project and the contribution of Flemish partner Vito in this testimonial.
