Contracting authorities increasingly invest more money in developing and buying innovative products and services in order to respond to increasingly complex challenges and to pull innovation from the market, so-called Innovation Procurement (for more information see our infosheet).

The Flemish Programme for Innovation Procurement (PIP) is organising an international conference under the Belgian Presidency on innovation procurement. The conference aims to provide a unique opportunity to draw attention to this under-used innovation instrument. The conference will allow public buyers, policy makers and companies from Belgium and abroad to exchange experiences on the theory and practice of innovation procurement.
