The Liaison Agency Flanders-Europe (VLEVA) and the Flemish Department of Mobility and Public Works (DMOW) are organising a digital info session on the 2023 calls of Connecting Europe Facility 2 (CEF2), on 16 October 2023.

CEF2 calls contribute to the realisation of the Trans-European Transport Network. Various funding opportunities reside within this framework for Flemish projects. The deadline is 30 January 2024. General information can be found on the official CEF2 Transport website.

Registration is free, but mandatory. You can find more information on the official announcement.

During the info session, speakers from DMOW and CINEA will highlight:

  • relevant procedures, requirements and the evaluation process;
  • climate-proofing requirements;
  • rules and deadlines specifically for Flemish projects.

EITHOS - European Identity Theft Observatory System

The EITHOS project, funded under Horizon Europe Cluster 3 call “Online identity theft is countered”, aims to develop a “European Identity Theft Observatory System” (EITHOS). The system will provide easy access to information and intelligence about previous and current identity theft related trends to empower EU citizens, Law Enforcements Agencies (LEAs), and policy makers to further contribute to the prevention, detection, and investigation of crimes related to online identity theft. The Cyber and Data Security Lab (CDSL), part of the Law, Science, Technology and Society (LSTS) Research Group at Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB), is one of the 12 partners in the EITHOS consortium, contributing its vast expertise on legal aspects of data protection, cybersecurity and information security law and policy.
