Additional to the official info days of the European Commission, BDVA/DAIRO will organise (together with the EC), an Info Day on the data topics (Destination 3) of Horizon Europe’s Cluster 4.

The event will focus on 5 calls that will open in 2021 and 2022 under the headings:

  • Data sharing in the common European data spaces
  • Strengthening Europe’s data analytics capacity

The presentation of the calls for proposal will be followed by a pitching session, coordinated by BDVA/DAIRO. Participants will have the opportunity to present a short pitch (2 minutes) addressing one or more of the topics presented by the European Commission.

If you are interested in pitching, please indicate it in the registration and send your presentation of 2-3 slides to operations@core.bdva.eu by 6th July EOB in ppt format.

Don't forget to fill out the registration form.

Methylomic – Hope & Improved outcomes for Crohn’s disease patients across Europe

The METHYLOMIC project, ‘targeting hope for personalised medicine in immune-mediated inflammatory diseases’ obtained funding from Horizon Europe’s Health Cluster. The project aims to personalise treatment allocation and enhance the effectiveness of medications for chronic immune-mediated diseases such as Crohn’s disease, rheumatoid arthritis, and psoriasis. BIRD, the Belgian inflammatory bowel disease research and development group, is a partner in the project and is involved in the OmiCrohn trial, a prospective randomised clinical trial for individualised therapy in Crohn’s disease patients. With BIRD’s active role in this trial, the project is set to deliver predictive, biomarker-based therapies that bring renewed hope for Crohn’s disease patients across Europe.
