Health AI Continent Deployment: Best use of technologies

The European Commission is hosting an event to shape the strategic vision for the European Virtual Human Twins (VHT) Initiative, aimed at advancing AI innovation in personalised medicine. The event will focus on the adoption of VHT technologies in clinical practice.

Over 90 organisations from various sectors have signed the European Virtual Human Twins Manifesto to encourage collaboration in VHT development. This event aims to build on that momentum by gathering representatives of Health Ministries, research and innovation entities, digital ministries of EU Member States, and those involved in VHTs from academia, health professional societies, and industry to refine the initiative's strategic vision.

Key discussion topics will include:

  • The role of the VHT Initiative in addressing gaps identified in the VHT Roadmap by the EDITH Coordination and Support Action.
  • Integration of an advanced VHT platform into the European Health Data Space and other health data infrastructures.
  • Regulatory aspects and challenges for the uptake of VHT solutions.
  • Opportunities for foundational research in VHTs.

Registrations will open in July 2025. For more information, visit European Virtual Human Twins Initiative.
