The workshop will address the topics of “Recycling of lightweight composite materials”, “Development of new bio-composites for enhanced circularity” and “Joining of dissimilar materials through novel additive manufacturing techniques”.

The event will be of interest to materials suppliers, manufacturers, end users and researchers in the marine, automotive, aeronautics, rail, wind energy and construction industries in Europe.

The event will be of particular interest to EU industry, as one of the aims of the event is to initiate a dialogue between the research community, industry and policy makers on the current research investments and to acquire the EU industry’s perspective on needs for future research investments in the field of Lightweighting.

Online participation is encouraged as the maximum capacity in the room has almost been reached.

MareGraph - Towards an Interoperable Marine Knowledge Graph

The MareGraph project, ‘Towards an Interoperable Marine Knowledge Graph’, obtained funding under the Digital Europe topic ‘OPEN-AI – Public Sector Open Data for AI and Open Data Platform’. The project will increase the semantic, technical, and legal interoperability of three selected high-valued datasets (HVDs) all maintained by the Flanders Marine Institute (VLIZ), which is one of the four partners of the project. This will allow the onboarding of essential marine datasets in the Common European Data Spaces. As such MareGraph will provide a structural component in the digital transition of the marine landscape. The numerous impacts of the project will benefit our seas globally in old and new ways to come.
