Advanced Digital Skills

Following the publication of the fourth round of calls for proposals under the DIGITAL Europe 2023-24 Work Programme, the European Health and Digital Executive Agency (HaDEA) is organising a virtual info session for stakeholders who are interested in the programme and calls within special objective 'Advanced Digital Skills'.

There are currently two skills-related call topics open for submission:

  • Reinforcing skills in semiconductors
  • Boosting digital skills of young pupils, in particular girls

The event is in particular organised for higher education institutions, research and excellence centres and innovative businesses developing digital technologies. During the event, the two open calls will be presented and participants will get the possibility to ask any relevant questions that will be addressed in the Q&A sessions.

More information on the event and the possibility to register for participation can be found on the event website.

ROOT - Rolling Out OSNMA for the secure synchronization of Telecom networks

The ROOT project obtained funding under Horizon 2020 topic ‘EGNSS applications fostering societal resilience and protecting the environment’. The project, which ran from November 2020 to July 2022,  aimed to demonstrate the benefit of Galileo OSNMA signal to increase the robustness of critical telecom infrastructures.

The Flanders-based company Septentrio contributed substantially to completing this objective together with the other ROOT partners. The results of the project partially close a gap in the security of telecommunication networks dependent on satellite-derived time, with indirect benefits in curbing illegal attempts to disrupt network services.
