A virtual matchmaking and brokerage event designed to foster research and innovation collaboration between Canadian, Spanish, and other Horizon Europe partners under Cluster 4. Focus areas include the digital topics

  • Destination 3: Data services & trustworthy AI
  • Destination 4: Strategic autonomy in emerging technologies
  • Destination 6: Human-centric digital and industrial innovation

The event features expert speakers from Canada, Spain, and the broader EU innovation ecosystem, including representatives from national governments and funding agencies. They'll share insights on priorities and pathways for cross-border collaboration.

Matchmaking platform availability

The B2B platform will be open for meetings from May 21 to June 2, allowing plenty of time to schedule and conduct one-on-one discussions. The messaging function is already active and will remain available even after the meeting window closes.

ERC grants for UGent professor Lieven Eeckhout

Professor Lieven Eeckhout’s main research interests include computer architecture and the hardware/software interface with a specific emphasis on performance evaluation and modeling, and dynamic resource management.

Professor Eeckhout is the recipient of a European Research Council (ERC) Starting grant, Advanced grant and three Proof of Concept grants. Two of his former PhD students founded in 2013 CoScale, a spin-off in data center monitoring, which was acquired by New Relic.
