This thematic Workshop of the Community for European Research and Innovation for Security (CERIS) aims at presenting and discussing European research and innovative solutions, as well as further capability needs relevant for enhancing first responders’ operational capabilities in different rescue operations scenarios.
Interested audience include security practitioners, especially fire services, police and rescue agencies, but also innovators, operators in emergency situations, and national and EU policy makers on capabilities such as those related to search and rescue operations in multi-hazardous conditions, and disaster risk management. The Workshop will bring together updates and EU-funded projects of innovative European technologies in this field.
It will be an occasion to showcase groundbreaking technologies for first responders through demos sessions; present experiences and opportunities for collaborative research and innovation in Europe; and discuss the innovation uptake of research results.
