The event is organised by the Joint Analysis, Training and Education Centre (JATEC). It is designed to discuss innovative procurement mechanisms and digital tools that could be used to scale up defence production in NATO and Ukraine, alongside challenges and good practices for putting them into use.
It also aims to look at the role of stakeholders and regulatory bodies in NATO and Ukraine in supporting Ukraine’s defence industry, and to discuss barriers and possible solutions across the full value chain, including regulation, logistics, finance and trade. The programme is expected to identify common opportunities for stronger cooperation between NATO and Ukraine stakeholders from industry and innovation.
Expected participants include representatives from ministries of defence, armed forces, defence institutions and industry from NATO countries and Ukraine, with expertise in defence procurement innovation, defence investment and budgets, defence procurement planning, digitalisation and technology, and production.
