Programmes Digital Europe AI ContinentThe Data Governance Act (DGA) is a regulatory framework adopted by the European Union to facilitate the reuse and sharing of data across sectors and member states, promoting a trustworthy and secure data-sharing environment. The DGA introduces mechanisms to encourage voluntary data-sharing by businesses and individuals while ensuring strong protections for privacy and security.
Knowledge of underlying EU policies and legislations is a key element in Digital Europe proposals as they play an important role in the “relevance” evaluation criterion. This Policy Briefing is one of several briefings prepared by DEP4ALL, the NCP Network for the Digital Europe programme, to support applicants with summaries of relevant EU initiatives.

Funded under Horizon Europe (HORIZON-CL5-2022-D5-01-02), running from 2023 to 2026, AENEAS advanced the development of innovative electric energy storage solutions tailored for waterborne transport. The project has also created tools & platforms to support the optimal integration of new energy storage systems into vessels, assess their impact on overall system efficiency, and quantify potential reductions in greenhouse gas emissions.
