ProgrammesEIT Raw Materials invites you to participate to the Start-Up and SME Booster Call 2020. It is an opportunity for European Start-ups and entrepreneurs in the raw materials sector to scale-up its business with financial support of up to a maximum amount of EUR 60,000.The deadlines of this call are 17 January, 15 May and 4 September 2020. The second initiative is the EIT Jumpstarter 2020, an innovation contest aiming to reach out, identify and support the best ideas from researchers, professionals and early-stage start-ups, with a potential impact in the Raw Materials Value Chain.3 prizes are foreseen (10.000, 7000 and 5000€). The last initiative is the Rawmaterials Accelerator which is aiming at start-ups who want to fast-track their business. It starts with ideas at TRL 4-6 and aims to find a market niche, to develop a financial model, and to build a business model. Selected Start-ups will receive €15 000 as funding to cover their costs for participating in Phase 1 of the RM Accelerator. Call has opened on 20 December. For detailed information click here.

The YoPA project, ‘a youth-centred preventive action approach towards co-created implementation of socially and physically activating environmental interventions’ obtained funding from Horizon Europe’s Health Cluster. The project addresses the multifaceted challenges of physical inactivity and health inequalities through a unique participatory approach. The project places teenagers between 12 and 18 years old in vulnerable situations at the forefront of the intervention process. The Institute of Tropical Medicine is a partner in the project and will conduct a Realist Evaluation to understand how youth co-creation contributes to improved adolescent health and well-being in four cities in Denmark, Netherlands, Nigeria and South Africa. By integrating its results and sharing its approach in an open access Toolbox, ITM aims to contribute to fostering sustainable, youth-led solutions for healthier urban environments.
