Circular Industries - H2020-LOW-CARBON-CIRCULAR-INDUSTRIES-2020 – Number of submitted proposals

The call H2020-LOW-CARBON-CIRCULAR-INDUSTRIES-2020 has closed on the 5th of February 2020.

148 proposals have been submitted.

The breakdown per topic is:

EU prize for women innovators - deadline 20 April

The EU Awards a prize to four women entrepreneurs working to make the world a better place and inspiring others to follow in their footsteps.

Three winners receive €100,000 each, and €50,000 is awarded to a Rising Innovator (an exceptional entrepreneur - age 35 or younger - at the beginning of her career).

EIC Horizon Prize - Fuel from the sun: artificial photosynthesis - 1st deadline 29 June 2020

The challenge is to build a fully functional, bench-scale prototype of an artificial photosynthesis based system which can produce a useable synthetic fuel. The prize value is 5 mio €.

Deadline for registration of interest: 29 June 2020.

Closing date for submission: 03 February 2021

EIC Horizon Prize - Early Warning Epidemics - 1st deadline 31 May 2020

The challenge is to develop a scalable, reliable, and cost-effective early-warning system prototype to forecast and monitor vector-borne diseases in order to contribute to the prevention of outbreaks, mitigating their impact on local, regional and global scales, and providing support to existing elimination efforts.

Prize for renewable energy islands (RESponsible island) -deadline 29 September

This prize will reward achievements in local renewable energy production for electricity, heating, cooling and transport on islands.

The prize name refers to the combination of renewables (RES) and responsibility. The 3 first awardees will be given resp. 500000€, 250000€ and 100000€.

EIC Horizon Prize - Low Cost Space Launch - deadline 01 June 2021

The challenge is to develop a European technologically non-dependent solution for launching light satellites into Low-Earth Orbit (LEO), which will enable dedicated low-cost launches with committed schedule and orbit. The prize value is 10 mio €.

EIC Horizon Prize - Innovative Batteries for eVehicles - deadline 17 December 2020

The challenge is to develop a safe and sustainable battery for electric-vehicles through the development of new materials and chemistries making use of abundant, sustainable low cost materials, which are easily available in Europe. The prize value is 10 mio €.

EIC Horizon prizes - deadlines in 2020 and 2021

Four EIC Horizon Prizes will be awarded. Each EIC Horizon Prize has an ambitious goal to solve a major challenge facing society, without detailing how this should be achieved or who should achieve it.

EIT Strategic Innovation Agenda: political agreement in the Council

The Council today reached agreement (partial general approach) on the future Strategic Innovation Agenda (SIA) of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT).

The EIT's budget is provided for in the future EU framework programme (Horizon Europe) and is linked to next EU's financial framework programme (MFF).
