In response to the call for proposals for H2020-FETOPEN-2018-2020 topic FETOPEN-03-2018-2019-2020 (Coordination and Support Action - CSA) – FET-Open Launchpad, cut-off date of 8 October 2019, 26 proposals were submitted. The indicative topic budget for this cut-off date is €2.7 million.
The members of the Horizon Europe mission assemblies were announced. These mission assemblies will assist the Horizon Europe mission board members.
In response to the call for proposals for H2020-FETOPEN-2018-2020 for topic FETOPEN-01-2018-2019-2020 (Research and Innovation Action - RIA) – FET-Open Challenging Current Thinking, third cut-off date of 18 September 2019, 447 proposals were submitted. The indicative topic budget for this cut-off date is €160.65 million.

The evaluation results of the 2019 Synergy grant call have been announced by ERCEA. The ERC Synergy grants enable groups of two to four top researchers to bring together complementary skills, knowledge and resources in one research project.

A total of 251 proposals were submitted in response to the third and final deadline (19 September 2019) of the ERC 2019 Proof of Concept Lump Sum Pilot Call (ERC-2019-PoC). Compared to the PoC 2018 3rd deadline it is 33% more applications. Overall the ERC 2019 Proof of Concept call received 520 proposals (15% more than the 2018 PoC call).
