About the community + Programmes
The focus is to create sustainable energy in every sense of the word so the entire production process is being looked at. The three parts of the knowledge triangle are involved with the focus on enhanced collaboration between them and on innovations that should be taken up by the market.
They are focusing on these broad areas:
- Energy storage
- Sustainable cities and buildings
- Renewable energies
- Smart electric grid
- Energy efficiency
- Energy for the circular economy
- Energy for transport and mobility
If you are an innovator and it fits within one of these eight thematic field and contains a promising technology or service then you can apply for their Investment Round programma where they will not just help you with the funding but also with making the product or service market-ready and turn it into a viable business.
When you already have a company then there are other options to accelerate commercialization and market take-up of your products and services. For start-ups there is the highway accelerator programme, for scale-ups the boostway programme and for more established companies there is also a guidance trajectory.
Apart from the business part, this EIT also had an education pillar where they want to train the workers who will be active in these innovative areas.
How to get involved?
