Open access to JRC Research Infrastructures - Nanobiotechnology Laboratory

The European Commission’s Joint Research Centre (JRC) opens for the purposes of training and capacity building its scientific laboratories and facilities to people working in academia and research organisations, small and medium enterprises (SMEs), and more in general to the public and private sector.

The Joint Research Center (JRC) infrastructures are now opening on a pilot basis access to the Nanobiotechnology Laboratory.

The Nanobiotechnology Laboratory features state-of-the-art equipped facilities designed to foster interdisciplinary studies. A special emphasis lies on characterisation of nanomaterials, nanotechnology-enabled health products, microplastics, advanced materials and their interactions with biological systems, as well as on the detection, identification and characterisation of nanomaterials and microplastics in complex matrices.
