ERC – Results Synergy grants 2019 call

Programmes ERC  

The evaluation results of the 2019 Synergy grant call have been announced by ERCEA. The ERC Synergy grants enable groups of two to four top researchers to bring together complementary skills, knowledge and resources in one research project. 37 applications are eligible for funding out of a total of 288 applications submitted. Among the 126 Principal Investigators is one PI affiliated with a Flemish host institution:

  • Rufin Vogels, Katholieke Universiteit Leuven,

whom forms a team with Bea De Gelder (Universiteit Maastricht, NL) and Martin Giese (Eberhard Karls Universität Tübingen, DE) in the research project “RELEVANCE - How body relevance drives brain organization”.

Micado - Migrant Integration Cockpits and Dashboards

Atlas Integratie & Inburgering Antwerpen is an autonomous agency and a non-profit organisation responsible for implementing the Flemish integration policy on behalf of and for the City of Antwerp. Atlas offers several types of services for newcomers and Antwerp’s public and non-profit organisations.

In 2018, under the leadership of HafenCity University Hamburg, Atlas participated in the H2020 call 'Addressing the challenge of migrant integration through ICT-enabled solutions'. The proposal 'MICADO - Migrant Integration Cockpits and Dashboards' was approved by the European Commission and the project started in January 2019 and runs until June 2022.
